BALLYMACARBRY ELDERS HOUSING ASSOCIATION
Ballymacarbry Elders Housing Association Ltd iss a development of 15 houses based in Cluain Cairbre which is nestled in the picturesque village of Ballymacarbry, Co. Waterford. Comeragh Tour takes place again this year 26th August 2018.
A challenging cycle sportive around and in the very scenic Comeragh Mountains, Co Waterford.
Two Routes 100km & a challenging 125km which includes the iconic climbs of Mahon Falls & Ticincor.
This is NOT a race. It’s a challenge that you do at your own pace.

Evening Yoga with Dorothy 2018

Taekwon Do Kubz is a programme for pre school children to introduce them to the world of martial arts, while at the same time teaching them important life skills. New Course beginning in Ballymacarbry Community Centre on Wednesday 6th September 2017 from 9am to 3.30pm.
Course includes: Health and Fitness, Food and Cookery, Word Processing and Vegetable Production (Horticulture)
This course is FREE OF CHARGE to those who meet the eligibility criteria. This course is eligible for those with less than a Junior Certificate Level of Education. On completion of the course, you will receive QQI Certificates.

BALLYMACARBRY OPERATION TRANSFORMATION 2017
Overdid it with the eating this Christmas, not to worry, this is the perfect time to start getting back in shape, getting fit and healthy, so why not join our local Operation Transformation, to give you the motivation you need to go out and get active! Ballymacarbry Operation Transformation 2017 is starting Tuesday 10th January at 7pm. Sign in will be from 6.30pm to 7.00pm in the Community Centre and the walk will begin from there at 7.00pm. There will be 2 walks each week on Tuesday and Thursday nights starting at 7pm. Routes are yet to be determined. Cost is €2 per person per night. We will also be keeping a weekly group weigh in so that we can get in touch with RTE’s Operation Transformation programme at the end of each week with our group’s total weight loss. Please bring a HiVis and a torch for health and safety reasons.

PILATES
New Block of Pilates starting next Tuesday 10th January from 6.30pm to 7.30pm in the centre with Pilates Instructor Helen Fitzpatrick. These classes will run for a 6 week block. TOTAL BODY FITNESS
Total Body Fitness will be returning to Ballymacarbry Community Centre on Wednesday 4th January.
Again this will be run on a trial basis over 4 weeks starting Wednesday 4th January at 7pm.
If class numbers are good we will continue on after these 4 weeks.

New Exciting Taekwondo Classes for kids aged 3 years to 6 years starting in the centre Tuesday 10th January from 3.45pm to 4.30pm. There are so many positives for kids joining Taekwondo, for example physical fitness, weight control, increased concentration span and learning respect for others.
And huge increases in childrens self confidence and self esteem.

BALLYMACARBRY TIDY TOWNS
We are already planning our program of work for 2017!!!
We would ask you to keep any empty biscuit and sweet tins that you may have left over from the Christmas season. We plan to re-use these to place gifts in for next years annual Team Hope Shoe Box Appeal.
The empty containers may be useful for the families who may receive them, to re-use for the storage of goods.
We will have collection points in the Community Centre, the Montessori school and Ballymacarbry Primary School for 1 week starting on Monday 9th January.
We will store the containers until the Halloween break in 2017 when we will make them available so that people can fill the container with a range of simple Christmas gifts as you would with the shoe box.
Please keep us in mind before you ditch your tins…..
Friends of the Grant Family
Following the recent death of a second sibling and third member of the Grant Family from Huntington’s disease a group of family friends have come together to help with financial support. The aim is to raise funds through raffles, coffee mornings and small events.
The Friends of the Grant Family are holding a Fundraising Ceili in Ballymacarbry Community Centre Sunday 22nd January 2017 from 3pm to 6pm. Cost of entry is €10. Refreshments and spot prizes on the day.
