The Castle Gardens are set in seven acres within the 17th century outer defensive walls and have spectacular views of Lismore Castle. The west wing of the Castle has been converted into a contemporary Art Gallery. Although the Castle, which is now the Irish residence of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, is not open to the public, the beautiful Castle Gardens can be visited.

One of the most visited sites in Ireland, this is a spectacular group of medieval buildings set on an outcrop of limestone in the Golden Vale including a 12th Century Round Tower, High Cross, Romanesque Chapel, 13th Century Gothic Cathedral, 15th Century Castle and restored Hall of Vicars Choral.
